This may seem like a dumb question, but I’m curious.
I know one can get some STDs (chlamydia, gonorrhea) from oral-genital contact.
My question is, can you get STDs both giving and receiving?
Or is the person giving more likely to get an STD?
Perhaps I’m not clear enough.
Is the person using their mouth more likely to get an STD as the person being pleasured? Or is it the same degree of risk for both as far as getting an STD?

My boyfriend and I had sexual intercourse today and after we got done and he pulled away, he told me I was bleeding. This is the first time I have ever had any bleeding after intercourse. I was reading online that a symptom of Gonorrhea and Chlamydia is bleeding during/after intercourse, but I have absolutely no other signs of either of them.
I was supposed to start my period around the 2nd of this month, and never got it. I was thinking I was pregnant, but a couple days prior to this situation, I had very light bleeding (not caused by intercourse). I stopped bleeding yesterday, so we decided to have intercourse.
What do you think is going on?

I am curious as to why he prescribed this to me. I went in today because I had lower abdominal pain and some slight bleeding. I asked if he thought I might have PID or an STD and he said it was highly unlikely, but tested me for chlamydia and gonorrhea to rule them out. If he doesn’t think I have PID or a STD any ideas why he prescribe these antibiotics? I have not gotten any test results back yet.

About one month ago and 1 week I had unprotected sex. Felt no symptoms till about a week ago, i woke up in the morning and peed and it burnt real bad and was sometime peeing 2 different streams of urine so I thought I had a UTI. Without going to the doctor I started to drink alot of water and cranberry juice and started taking natural cranberry pills, then I did a little more research and found out what I had was chlamydia. Symptoms i felt include
*penis discomfort
*burning/stinging during and after urination
*slight penile pain
*discharge that would stain underwear
*itchiness on head or inside penis
*two streams of urine
*testicles hurt when touched

Okay so I had sex with this guy two days before my vagina started itching, I asked him before we had sex if he had any STDs or anything he said no. I trusted him that he didn’t since he only had sex 2 times before me. Well My vagina started itching really bad 2 days later so bad i couldn’t sleep. I went out the next day and bought some Vagisil anti-itch cream and it helps temperarally. But I looked up the symptoms for Gonorrhea, and Chlamydia and I don’t have the symptoms of those at all. Just itching, there is nothing else wrong with me. But I do have the symptoms of Thrush or a Yeast infection. Should I goto a doctor? I could not tell my parents!

I just found out im five weeks pregnant but i have no vitamins yet all i have are flintstones… and i also have chlamydia… but the nurse gave me some pills for it… im still worried that it will affect my baby.

So I had a burning when I peed all Saturday and some of Sunday. The night before I had loads of pizza from Domino’s and can’t think what else it would be as I have only been having sex with my boyfriend of the last six months and at the start of our relationship we took the chlamydia and gonorrhea tests and both came out clear. I have also read that people got a burning for a few days after masturbating or having intercourse, this has never happened with me and neither of these occurred on the Friday night, could I have an STI ?
