is it possible/likely to have chlamydia or some other infection for 3+ years without serious damage?
Can vaginal infections go away by themselves?
Are there over-the-counter or at-home treatments?
I have had yeast infection like symptoms every month on and off for over a year now. Itchiness inside, a little redness, a whitish discharge every now and then. These symptoms aren’t constant, but when they are there they are really irritating and happen at least for half the month (usually more) — particularly the itching. I have been to the doctor for this several times over the year. Every wet prep comes back negative for yeast and other bacterial infections. I have also been tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia. I just recently went to the doctor last week when the symptoms got really bad but tests are still coming back as negative. I’m so frustrated. My doctor says it is probably just irritation from taking the pill which can cause extra discharge but I am not convinced. Though the doctor doesn’t seem to concerned, I am tired of living like this. Has anyone ever experienced this? Could it be another STD besides the two I’ve been tested for (and for which the male partner would have no symptoms)?
I’m 19 I went on the pill a few years ago then I came off it because I went on some other medication because i have OCD, so i stopped taking the contraceptive pill because I wasn’t sure if it was ok to take my OCD pill and my contraceptive pill but my doctor said it was ok so i went back on the pill I have now been on it for not even a month but now i’m bleeding a little and it’s not time for my break i have 10 days to go…and i have a boyfriend now and i want us to have sex but i can’t because of this…I had a chlamydia test a few months ago but haven’t done anything sexual since…does anyone know what could be wrong? has this happened to anyone else? could i have a STI?
So, I was diagnosed with Trichomoniasis about a month ago, about two months after starting a new sexual relationship. I found out because I went to get tested after having symptoms. I was tested for Trich, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia, and only the Trich test came back positive as far as I was informed. So I got treatment, but I took the pills incorrectly, by mistake. I also was given pills to give to my new boyfriend, and he took them, but he also took them wrong (wrong dosage at the wrong times). So I went back to the doctor, told them what happened, and she checked me again for gonorrhea, chlamydia and trich, and said I no longer had any STIs, and that even though I took the medicine wrong, I was still cured, but I could re-medicate to be sure, so I did, and I took the medicine right this time. She also informed me that I had a yeast infection, so I got pills for that. To sum it up, the yeast pills didn’t work, so I took Monistat suppository, and then went BACK to the doctor, for a pap smear, and told her I still felt itchy. She confirmed with me again that I no longer had any STIs and that there was still yeast, but I’d get over it.
Currently, I am making $19/h after my agency takes their fees. (contractor)
I am going to begin working in labs with potential exposure to HBV, HCV, Gonorrhea, HIV, HPV, and Chlamydia.
I have never had it, and you can tell by looking at me, I’m way to sweet and innocent looking.
i gave a guy oral sex a few months ago and he lied to me telling me he was clean from any std’s but recently i found out he might have had one, because his friends told me. should i get myself tested? ive never gone before so what do you have to do? i am so scared! and my friend thinks i am over reacting, should i go? is it a high risk i will have caught something?
